Does anyone understand how to post pictures here? I don't understand how to post them when you cant use the ones from your computer. Thanks.

You have to use a service like photo bucket or web shots, and then use "image Code" to insert the picture;

Here's a copy of the write up I did for it over on Stangs and Fangs

I personally use Photobucket, as it provides the exact code to insert the image in a forum like this one, but Webshots has a nicer "Album" setup if you plan to share entire albums with other people....

Once you have the image on a hosting site, you can link it in a post by using the "Img" tags to surround the URL of the image, for instance, the code I used to insert my Mustang was;

"{IMG}http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh47/Zukesterj/100_0025.jpg{/IMG}"

Replace the curly brackets with square brackets (If I put them in right, it woulda inserted my pic again!)

For Photobucket;

For Webshots;

Thanks for the help. I have never had reason to use a hosting site till now. I'll work on uploading my pics. I appreciate the help.

Zuke, Thanks Again!

Now, hate to be the PITA but with the info you gave, I have created my album and posted a picture. That said, it seems I can only post a single picture. Do you know how to post multiple pics or an entire album? I'm detailing my 70RR restoration and I thought it would be cool for everyone to see it also.

Not sure why you wouldn't be able to post more than one, Are you using seperate image tags for each picture, like this with square brackets instead of curly;

{IMG}http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae249/OrangeBird440/DSC04911.jpg{/IMG}

{IMG}http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae249/OrangeBird440/DSC04921.jpg{/IMG}

Would give you this;

To Link an entire album, At the top of the album is a box like this;

Copy the line under the word "URL" to link an entire album, Like this link to my Scout restore album;

Looks like you know your stuff. I will try. I was wondering about the URL stuff bud did not think it would be that easy. I did try the multiple picture thing but the first one came up and the others only showed that they had images. I will give it a shot later.

One common problem posting multiple pics can be that phpbbs thinks it smarter than you, and tries to close your tags wrong, so when you think you are done editing the post, make sure the editor didn't try to put an extra {img} tag in for you, that will cause it to think your text is pictures, and your pictures are text!
